Due to the popularity of our programs, we suggest making your individual reservation at least one month in advance to avoid disappointment. However, we will take reservations up to the day of, if available. Some of our tours require minimum numbers of participants. If the minimum number is not met, Snowy Owl reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the tour.
Group reservations should be made at least one to two months in advance. Larger groups should consider making their reserving up to six months in advance given the larger number of people attending. We define a group as any number over 15 guests.
Please read each tab carefully, guests are required to sign a tour confirmation regarding this information when reserving a program with Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours. All guests participating in our programs will also be required to read, understand, and sign our liability waiver.
Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours considers a group reservation 15 participants or more. Groups are required to pay a 50% deposit at the time of their reservation. The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 7 days prior to their tour.
Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours will retain all deposits paid and require payment for the balance owning if groups cancel within 7 days of their scheduled tour(s). We accept company cheques, Visa, MasterCard and when making your reservation in person, debit card or cash (Canadian and US currency at par value only.)

Group reservations can be cancelled before 7 days of the tour. If a cancellation is made within 7 days of the scheduled tour, Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours will retain the full amount of the tour cost.
Individual reservations can be cancelled before 48 hours of the tour. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the scheduled tour, Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours will retain the full amount of the tour cost.
Applicable to individual and group reservations:
Any guests who are ill or have experienced an unforeseen circumstance resulting in them not being able to attend their tour, Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours reserves the right to request official paper work confirming the incident.
Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours will be in full operation unless the temperatures are colder than -26C, taking the wind chill factor into consideration or +15C at the trail head. Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours also reserves the right to cancel their tours if they deem the elements to be unsafe for their sled dogs, staff and guests. This includes but is not limited to extreme cold, unsafe trail conditions and poor road conditions. Guests will be issued a full refund or given the option to reschedule their tour at Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours’ earliest available date.
Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours operates their dog sledding tours in a provincial park and are subject to any official road closures implemented by Alberta Parks for avalanche control. Should Alberta Parks send a formal notice of road closure for avalanche control or the roads are deemed unsafe for travel, Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours reserves the right the cancel all scheduled tours. Guests will be issued a full refund or given the option to reschedule their tour at Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours’ earliest available date.
It is at the discretion of Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours as to what circumstance deems a refund or reschedule.
Please understand it is mandatory that ALL guests of Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours take the provided transportation to and from the dog sledding site. Please note that Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours will decline all requests to self-drive to our dog sledding site unless previously arranged and approved with our team upon making your reservation ahead of time.
The pre-arrangement of self driving requires maps, waivers and a detailed self driving agreement to be filled out and signed ahead of time. This also applies to late guests. Given the location of our dog sledding site and the secondary road used to access our trail head, we will not allow any guests who are already late the option to drive themselves to our dog sledding site.
